Gwen Ro is a fitness expert, entrepreneur and law enforcement officer. In 2007, Ro was the CEO of a marketing communications and business operations company, Fresh Face Graphics. Then, in 2009, Ro created and executed a community-based fitness program, entitled Bootcamp Aerobics, at CUNY Medgar Evers College. The success of this program was internationally recognized in 2012, leading Ro to be published in Black Enterprise Magazine, as well as other publications for her community and research-based contributions. In 2011, Ro helped manage a major component of a 3 year youth research initiative funded by the Department of Health and Human Services through the CUNY Research Foundation. Since the aforementioned programs, Ro has gone on to execute many wellness workshops and teaching at countless other colleges/universities, grade schools and city/state/federal agencies.
Combining a wealth of experience from her background in entrepreneurship, community engagement and fitness, Ro managed to create her recent masterpiece, Gro Fit. Gro Fit officially established in January 2014, specializes in cutting-edge Gro Fit Parties, wellness workshops and fitness-driven merchandise. When Ro isn’t motivating people through health and fitness, she is helping to protect the public as a State Trooper with the New York State Police. Ro strongly believes that it is important to be part of the change that you would like to see in the world.
